Job summary

Zilch is a fast-growing fintech based in London seeking a Collections Strategy Analyst to shape the customer lifecycle in arrears management. You will support recovery outcomes, balance performance with fair customer treatment, and use data to drive practical recommendations across early and late collections.

The role involves SQL-based analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and turning insights into strategic actions to improve collections performance in a dynamic fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data.
• Exposure to collections, arrears management, recoveries, or credit risk analytics.
• Good SQL skills, with the ability to query, manipulate, and summarise data.
• Experience in, or genuine interest in, collections, credit risk, fintech, lending, or financial services.

Responsibilities

• Build understanding of end-to-end collections lifecycle across arrears and recoveries.
• Use data to identify opportunities to improve collections strategy and outcomes.
• Develop practical recommendations to support improvements across the lifecycle.
• Monitor performance metrics like roll rates, cure rates, recoveries, and placements.
• Use SQL to extract and summarise data for insights and decisions.
• Support segmentation and allocation analysis across delinquency stages and customer groups.
• Analyze DCA and Debt Purchaser placement and outcomes.
• Investigate performance movements and potential drivers.
• Track impact of strategy changes and external partner performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to turn analysis into actionable proposals.
