Job Title: Collections Specialist

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Collections Specialist to join a long-standing and successful company based in Redditch. Job Details

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm. The position involves commercial collections, directly retrieving debt from businesses. Previous B2B collections or customer service experience would be advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service or collections background, be confident, and assertive on the phone.

Key Responsibilities

1. Contact debtors via phone, email, and letters.
2. Implement strategies to recover debt quickly for clients.
3. Use questioning and negotiation techniques to achieve collection goals.
4. Utilize credit information from debtors and clients to develop effective collection strategies.
5. Overcome reasons for non-payment effectively.
6. Identify 'Can’t Pay / Won’t Pay' situations and develop strategies accordingly.
7. Remain compliant with industry regulations at all times.
8. Provide high levels of customer service.
9. Maintain accurate updates in the database.

Requirements

1. Previous customer service experience.
2. Previous debt recovery or collections experience.
3. Confidence and friendliness on the phone.
4. Strong negotiation skills; experience in sales is a plus, especially for solution-focused roles.
