Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Dorking is seeking a Collections and Network Driver on a permanent contract. The role is 20 hours per week, across 5 days, with shifts from 14:00 to 18:00.

You will be part of a team delivering and collecting mail, visiting post offices, and supporting customers on the doorstep. Applicants must have a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points and be comfortable walking outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Motivated and customer-focused with a strong sense of community.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect mail on your route, including election materials where required.
• Check post-boxes and drop off at processing centres, sorting mailbags.
• Provide outstanding service and support to customers on a doorstep delivery route.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
