Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Portsmouth is seeking a Collection and Network Driver for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will work 30 hours per week across shifts from 13:00 to 19:00, delivering and collecting mail and parcels in the Portsmouth area.

With a full UK driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points) and a people-centric approach, you will join a team that values punctuality, security and excellent service, while enjoying a competitive hourly rate and supportive benefits.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels on your route and ensure timely delivery.
• Check and collect mail from post boxes and business customers.
• Sort mailbags and handover to processing centres.

Please note:

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
