Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Collections Driver in Orpington. The role is a permanent contract, 37 hours per week, with shifts across Monday to Friday from 10:40 to 18:00.

Responsibilities

• Deliver items on your route and ensure secure handover to customers.
• Collect mail from post boxes and visits to post offices as part of the route.
• Sort mail bags and ensure correct routing to processing centres.
• Support coverage for election materials where required.
• Provide outstanding service and represent Royal Mail in the community.

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
