Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Bath is recruiting a Collection and Network Driver on a fixed term contract (9 months). You will work 37 hours a week across Monday to Sunday, with shifts 11:15–20:00 on Mon-Sat and 12:00–19:30 on Sundays.

You will deliver and collect mail on your route, check post-boxes, visit post offices, and ensure items reach processing centres on time. A full UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points is required; you’ll receive £13.68/h, 22.5 days holiday, a contributory pension,

Qualifications

  • Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
  • Willingness to walk and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work across flexible shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and collect mail on your route to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Check post-boxes, visit post offices, and interact with customers.
  • Sort mailbags and hand over items to processing centres.

Monday - Saturday hours:11:15 - 20:00

Sunday hours: 12:00 - 19:30

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
