Amgueddfa Cymru - Museum Wales are looking to recruit a Collections Care Planning Manager on a two-year fixed-term post.

About the Role

The key tasks are to:

• Develop a comprehensive cross-site Collections Risk Register.
• Develop and implement a strategic collections plan to mitigate the immediate risks identified.
• Outline and embed an effective cross-site preventive conservation programme. This will be developed and delivered with the relevant collections and site teams, and particularly in liaison with the preventive conservation team.

This work will support strategic, phased capital investment in collection storage and access across all sites. A comprehensive review of our current collections management processes and delivery will assess and rate any risks which may prevent Amgueddfa Cymru delivering the highest standards of collections care.

The review will initially focus on known challenges, then be phased to assess all sites and locations including the collections in purpose-built stores.
