Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Walsall is recruiting a Collection and Network Driver on a fixed-term 9-month contract. The role is 25 hours per week, across five days (Mon–Sat) between 13:00 and 18:00, delivering and collecting mail and parcels with care and reliability.

You'll be part of a team that keeps customers connected by delivering to homes and business addresses, checking post boxes, visiting post offices, and sorting mail bags to ensure on-time processing at our network hubs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer‑focused approach.
• Flexible with shifts and able to work Mon–Sat including afternoons.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect mail and parcels on assigned routes.
• Check post-boxes and visit business customers as required.
• Sort mailbags and ensure correct routing to processing centres.
• Provide reliable, friendly service to customers and communities.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
