Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Halifax is looking for a Collection and Network Driver on a fixed-term contract for 6 months, 20 hours per week. You will work across shifts from 13:00 to 19:00, delivering and collecting mail, with tasks spanning post boxes to processing centres.

Training and support are provided to help you succeed in a people-facing role. We value upbeat, independent individuals who enjoy working outside and being part of a team.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required with up to 6 penalty points.
• Able to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Excellent customer service and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels along a designated route.
• Collect mail from street boxes and post offices as required.
• Maintain accuracy and security of mail at all times.

• A guaranteed hourly rate of £13.68p/h(p aid monthly and adjusted to your working hours).

Please note:

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
