Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Collection and Network Driver in Bradford (BD1 4RS) for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will work 20 hours per week across five days, typically 13:00–19:00, delivering and collecting mail with a focus on reliability and customer service.

A full UK manual licence with up to 6 penalty points is required. You’ll be part of a team delivering to customers, post offices, and processing centres, with uniform provided for longer contracts and a contributory pension scheme.

Responsibilities

• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and items such as food or alcohol, in line with Royal Mail standards.
• Visit post offices and collect mail as part of your rounds.
• Check post-boxes and pick up mail from customers as required.
• Drop off mail at processing centres and sort mailbags for correct routing.
• Deliver more than letters and parcels, providing dependable service to customers.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
