Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Northwich is seeking a Collection and Network Driver on a fixed-term contract. This 24-hour-per-week role covers 5 days across Monday to Sunday, with shifts from 13:35 to 18:23, delivering and collecting mail and supporting our network across the route.

You must be upbeat, independent, and reliable, with a full UK manual licence (max 6 points) and a willingness to walk, work outdoors in all weathers, and adapt to flexible shifts.

Qualifications

• Has a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Happy walking for long periods and going outside in any weather.
• Flexible shift patterns.
• Strong sense of community and pride in what you do.
• Willingness to work across Mon-Sun shifts and adapt to route requirements.

Responsibilities

• Securely deliver all items on your route and handle items per Royal Mail standards.
• Deliver and collect mail, including election materials, to delivery points and processing centres.
• Assist with checking post-boxes, visiting post offices, and sorting mailbags.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
