Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Collection and Network Driver for Lincoln Delivery Office on a fixed-term contract. You will be part of a small team delivering items along your route, with shifts across Monday to Sunday and a 20-hour week.

The role requires walking, outdoor work in all weather, and a customer-first approach to doorstep deliveries. Expect a guaranteed hourly rate and benefits, with opportunities to contribute to a trusted postal network across the local community.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Physically able to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Flexible shift patterns and good attendance are essential.
• Knowledge of Lincoln area and strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Securely deliver all items on your route according to standards.
• Check post-boxes, visit post offices, and collect mail as required.
• Deliver election materials and other items in line with Royal Mail policies.
• Sort mail into bags and ensure correct routing to processing centres.
• Provide outstanding service to customers on doorstep and in local communities.

Hours: 20 hours per week, working 5 days across Mon-Sun, working between Monday to Friday 15:00, Saturday 10:00 and Monday to Friday 19:00, Saturday 14:00

As a Collection Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
