Job summary

GDS Partners is seeking an EHS Advisor for a permanent Colchester-based role with a well-established M&E contractor. You will drive health, safety and environmental performance across projects, conduct site inspections and RAMS reviews, and deliver inductions and toolbox talks.

A NEBOSH qualification and solid experience in construction or M&E are required. You will work closely with site teams to ensure compliance with UK legislation and company procedures, promoting a proactive safety culture

Qualifications

• NEBOSH or other relevant Health & Safety qualification.
• Experience in construction or M&E sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and best practice.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach with ability to build strong site relationships.

Responsibilities

• Carry out regular site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Review RAMS, permits to work and other EHS documentation.
• Investigate incidents and near misses and identify root causes.
• Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks to project teams.
• Provide practical Health & Safety advice and support to site management.
• Monitor EHS performance and prepare reports.
• Promote a positive safety culture and drive continuous improvement.
