Job summary

Designer Group Ltd is seeking an EHS Advisor for a site-based project role. You will lead health and safety activities on live construction sites, support risk assessments, and promote safe working practices across project teams and subcontractors.

The role requires NEBOSH attachments and a practical, proactive approach to safety, with strong communication to influence on-site behaviours and maintain robust safety records.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in construction, mechanical and electrical, building services, infrastructure, or industrial project environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of health and safety policies and standards.
• Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and safety walks.
• Identify risks and non-compliance; work with teams to close actions.
• Support risk assessments, RAMS, and safe systems of work.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety inductions.
• Maintain safety records, permits, registers and reports.
• Liaise with project managers and client reps on safety matters.
