Job summary

Gaucho Manchester is seeking a Cocktail Waiter/Waitress who loves hosting, knows how to make a thoughtful recommendation and notices when a guest needs something before they ask.

You’ll help turn a round of drinks into an occasion, welcome guests, work with our bar and restaurant team to keep service flowing, and ensure every visit feels special, comfortable and well looked after. This role offers career development through the Gaucho Academy.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy restaurant, bar or hotel.
• Good knowledge of drinks.
• Comfortable with tray service under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Hosting guests in our bar and lounge, taking care of your section from the first welcome to the final goodbye.
• Bringing our drinks menu to life with confident, personal recommendations.
• Taking orders and serving cocktails, wine, spirits and alcohol-free drinks with care.
• Working closely with our bartenders and restaurant team to keep service flowing.
• Reading the table, anticipating the next order and spotting opportunities to make someone’s visit special.
• Keeping tables and service areas looking their best.

The successful candidate

You’ll have experience in a busy restaurant, bar or hotel and a good knowledge of drinks. You’ll be comfortable with tray service, organised under pressure and ready to support your colleagues.

Above all, you’ll enjoy looking after people. You’ll know when to chat, when to give guests space and how the small details can make the biggest difference.
