Job summary

Whitworths is seeking a hands-on Coating Process Technician to own the coating lines, turning controlled recipes into consistent, high-quality products. You’ll mix, deposit chocolate and monitor performance while collaborating with Front Line Manager and teams across Operations.

• Experience in food manufacturing and ability to follow safety-critical instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and teamwork across colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Set up, start and operate coating equipment safely and efficiently.
• Mix and deposit chocolate using approved recipes and specs.
• Complete quality inspections and record results accurately.
• Monitor line performance, investigate issues and escalate as needed.
• Ensure materials, equipment and resources are ready when required.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, allergen control and hygiene.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce waste.
• Keep the line clean, organised and audit-ready.
• Support product trials, audits and improvement projects.
• Share knowledge and contribute to training of colleagues.
