Job summary
VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a Site Engineer to work on the Southsea Coastal Defence Scheme, a flagship coastal infrastructure project delivering flood protection. You will join a multidisciplinary team delivering high standards of safety, quality and programme performance.
As Site Engineer you will lead setting out, surveying, QA, RAMS, and coordination with subcontractors, designers and clients.
Qualifications
- Experience as Site Engineer on civil, marine, infrastructure or environmental projects.
- Strong setting out and surveying capabilities.
- Knowledge of quality, health & safety practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive attitude and desire to develop career.
- Experience managing subcontractors is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead all setting out and dimensional control activities.
- Ensure accurate surveying and maintain project control points.
- Support temporary works planning and implementation.
- Provide technical guidance to site teams and subcontractors.
