Job summary

The Inn Collection Group is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for its pub-restaurant sites in the North of England. You’ll ensure facilities are safe, comfortable and well-maintained, with daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment, and routine replacements like bulbs and doors.

You'll tackle planned and unplanned maintenance, including painting, plumbing, electrical tasks and outdoor upkeep, contributing to a welcoming guest experience and high operational standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or facilities is desirable.
• Ability to carry out basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks safely.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on safety and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks on boilers, electrical systems and fire safety equipment.
• Inspect and replace light bulbs; secure fire doors and exits.
• Carry out roof, gutter and walkway inspections to address hazards.
• Manage outdoor areas including gardening and external housekeeping.
• Undertake planned maintenance such as painting and grouting and handle unplanned repairs.
