Job summary

The Pony Club is seeking a Coach Development Officer to shape the future of coaching, designing and implementing coach education and workforce development programmes. You will ensure access to high-quality learning opportunities for coaches, volunteers and young leaders, and collaborate with partners to promote safeguarding and inclusion.

The role requires experience in coach education and programme development; attendance at national events may be required.

Qualifications

Experience in coach education, workforce development, learning and development, programme management, sport development or educational programme design.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, review and continuous improvement of The Pony Club's coach education and workforce programmes.
Design and implement learning pathways and professional development opportunities for coaches and volunteers.
Support the development and quality assurance of The Pony Club Coaching Certificate, coaching programmes and assessment pathways.
Coordinate coach development initiatives, conferences and learning events.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of coach education programmes and make recommendations for improvement.
Work collaboratively with Training Committee members, volunteers, subject matter experts and external partners.
Promote best practice in safeguarding, welfare, inclusion and health and safety across all coach development activity.
