Job summary

The Pony Club is seeking an experienced safeguarding professional to provide strategic leadership for safeguarding, integrity and culture across The Pony Club. This is a senior role reporting to the CEO, working with the Senior Management Team to embed a culture where every member is safe, respected and included.

• Experience advising senior leadership on safeguarding matters.
• Experience with safeguarding risk, case management and escalations.

We are seeking an experienced safeguarding professional to provide strategic leadership for safeguarding, integrity and culture across The Pony Club.

As a member of the Senior Management Team, this role will ensure we have a robust and continuously improving framework for protecting children, young people and adults at risk, while embedding a culture where everyone feels safe, respected, included and able to speak up.

Lead the development and continuous improvement of our safeguarding strategy, policies and procedures

Provide expert safeguarding advice and assurance to the CEO, Senior Management Team and Board

Oversee safeguarding risk, case-management arrangements and complex escalations

Lead safeguarding assurance, audits, reviews, training and organisational learning

Provide strategic leadership for the central safeguarding team and Branch and Centre Safeguarding Officer network

Hours: Full-time, 9am–5pm
Location: Hybrid, with time in the Shrewley office
Salary: £60,000–£70,000
