E3 Recruitment is seeking a Coach Builder for a growing manufacturing business in St Helen's. The role offers a clean, modern workshop and progression opportunities inside a company with a strong order book.

You'll be responsible for mechanical assembly, wiring, and electrical installations on commercial vehicle chassis, with full adherence to safety standards and quality checks in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical assembly/fitting experience on vehicles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with electrical installations in vehicle conversions.

Responsibilities

• Run wiring looms through vehicles.
• Terminate and connect cables to electrical systems.
• Splice, trunking, soldering, and install electrical systems.
• Fit sub frames, bodies and equipment to chassis.
• Read and interpret drawings and fitting instructions.
• Use hand and power tools for high-quality installations.
• Modify chassis components as required.
• Install hydraulic and electrical components with proper alignment.
• Carry out quality checks to meet standards.
• Work in a small, supportive workshop team.
• Adhere to health & safety policies.

A growing business that specialises in vehicle conversions, installations, and fleet is looking to recruit a Coach Builder to join the workshop team.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven mechanical assembly/fitting experience on vehicles, who is looking for a new step in their career and growing into a company that offers support and growth opportunities.

Duties of the Coach Builder role:

• Running wiring looms through vehicles.
• Terminating and connecting cables to electrical systems (lights, beacons, reversing cameras, etc.).
• Splicing, trunking, soldering, and general electrical installation.
• Fitting sub frames, bodies, and equipment to commercial vehicle chassis.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and fitting instructions.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment for high-quality installations.
• Modifying and drilling chassis rails, brackets, and mounting points where required.
• Installing hydraulic and electrical components, ensuring correct alignment.
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets company and client standards.
• Working as part of a small, supportive team in a busy workshop environment.
• Adhering to health & safety policies and maintaining a clean, safe workspace.
