Job summary

Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting a CNST and Special Projects Lead Midwife (Band 8A) to manage project delivery and CNST compliance across the perinatal service. The post involves coordinating evidence, reporting deadlines, and supporting related national care bundles.

The role requires UK registration in midwifery, CPD, and strong governance and reporting skills. Fixed-term for 2 years with full-time hours across locations within the Trust.

Qualifications

• Current Midwifery Registration with NMC and significant clinical experience.
• Demonstrable CPD.
• Accredited management training or Project Management qualification desirable.
• Experience in compliance roles and complex report writing.

Responsibilities

• Provide robust evidence for CNST compliance to support maternity client services.
• Collaborate with governance, education and clinical teams to embed safety actions into practice.
• Maintain CNST audit tools and progression tracking across years.
• Prepare and submit CNST evidence and compliance returns.
• Present CNST progress reports to perinatal leadership and Trust Board.
• Support leads for the Maternal and Saving Babies Care Bundles with progress and ongoing compliance.
• Lead or support other compliance projects arising from national inquiries.
