Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer (Turning) in Swindon to join a growing manufacturing team. The role focuses on turning programming, setting and optimising processes for high-precision components.

You will work with 3- and 5-axis machines, using Fanuc controls and CAM software to develop efficient machining strategies and support new machine introductions later this year.

Qualifications

• Proven CNC Programmer experience in a precision engineering environment.
• Strong CNC turning/lathe programming background.
• Experience on 3-axis and 5-axis machines.
• Familiar with Fanuc controls.
• CAM programming experience is essential.
• Hypermill experience is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Create and optimise CNC programs for complex precision components.
• Program, set and support CNC turning operations.
• Develop efficient machining strategies to improve productivity.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Support first-off prove-outs and process development.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to meet delivery targets.
• Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and quality requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the machining department.
