Job summary

Meritus is recruiting a CNC Turner Setter Operator for a permanent role in Basildon, Essex. You will set and operate Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce precision components in line with engineering drawings for aerospace, defence and commercial programmes.

You’ll set fixtures and tooling, monitor tool wear and surface finish, check parts for quality, and help meet production targets in a fast-growing precision engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce precision components.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and maintain quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set and operate Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce precision components.
• Set chucks, fixtures and tooling; monitor tool wear and surface finish.
• Check components at the machine to ensure compliance with drawings and quality requirements.
• Support production targets in line with manufacturing schedule.
