Job summary

MERITUS is recruiting a CNC Turner Setter Operator to join their precision manufacturing client in Basildon, Essex. The role covers setting, operating and online programming of Doosan and Haas CNC lathes to produce high‑quality components to strict drawings and tolerances.

You will prepare machines, fixtures and tooling, edit CNC programmes at the machine, monitor tooling and surface finish, and support production to meet targets in aerospace, defence and commercial sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and programming CNC turning machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and set up tooling accurately.
• Proven track record in precision aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Set, operate and online program Doosan and Haas lathes to produce precision components.
• Prepare machines, fixtures and tooling and monitor quality.
