Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter Operator for an established precision engineering firm in Aylesbury. You will set and operate Fanuc-controlled turning machines to produce quality components to tight tolerances in a busy workshop.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, inspecting own work, and maintaining accuracy to about ±0.01mm. Overtime is payable and annual leave is generous; bonuses may be available depending on company arrangements.

Working hours:

Flexible start and finish times between 6am and 6pm

40 hours per week

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a CNC Turner Setter Operator to join an established precision engineering and manufacturing business based in Aylesbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner who is confident setting and operating Fanuc-controlled machinery, producing quality components to tight tolerances within a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.
• Manufacturing precision components in batch quantities ranging from 30 to 200 pieces.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure components meet specifications.
• Inspecting your own work and maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
• Working to tight tolerances of approximately ±0.01mm.
• Ensuring machines are operating efficiently and production targets are met.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong experience in CNC turning, including setting and operating.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.

Overtime:

1.25x during the week and 1.5x on Saturdays.

Holiday:

25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
