Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training is seeking a skilled CNC Turner Setter Operator for an established precision engineering firm in Aylesbury. You will set and operate Fanuc-controlled turning machines to produce quality components to tight tolerances in a busy workshop.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, inspecting own work, and maintaining accuracy to about ±0.01mm. Overtime is payable and annual leave is generous; bonuses may be available depending on company arrangements.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in CNC turning, including setting and operating.
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings.
• Experience inspecting components and maintaining tight tolerances.
• Quality-focused approach with good attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.
• Manufacturing precision components in batch quantities (30–200 pieces).
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to meet specs.
• Inspecting own work and maintaining high quality and accuracy.
• Working to tight tolerances of approximately ±0.01mm.
• Ensuring machines operate efficiently and production targets are met.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organized working environment.
