Job summary

ES Recruit is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering business in the Oldham area. The role covers programming, setting and operating CNC HAAS turning machines on primarily 1-off runs with strong emphasis on quality and traceability.

The position offers day shifts, site-based work, and overtime on weekends. Salary is £20.00–£23.00 per hour with additional benefits including pension and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to program, set and operate CNC lathes independently.
• Experience with HAAS machines.
• Experience using Fanuc controls.
• Good understanding of G-code and reading detailed engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Programming, setting and operating CNC HAAS turning machines.
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Setting tooling and performing tool changes.
• Selecting machining parameters and producing precision components.
• Carrying out dimensional and quality inspections to verify tolerances.
