Recruitment Solutions (NW) Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist - Turner for setting, operating and programming HAAS CNC turning machines at their Oldham facility. The role focuses on producing precision components to drawings and tolerances, with responsibilities spanning setting, programming, inspection and continuous improvement within a varied manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience setting and operating HAAS turning machinery.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings to tight tolerances.
• Candidate should be proficient in CNC programming and making edits as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up HAAS CNC turning machinery.
• Program CNC turning machines and adjust programs as needed.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to required tolerances.
• Select tooling, workholding and cutting parameters.
• Set tool offsets and verify machine setup for production.
• Conduct first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Use measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and gauges.
• Identify and resolve machining and quality issues.
• Work to production schedules while maintaining quality.
