SER (Staffing) Limited is recruiting two experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operators to join a precision engineering team in Oldham. You will program, set and operate CNC turning and vertical boring machines, using Fanuc controls, and work from engineering drawings with CAD/CAM support for complex programming.

The role requires writing and editing programs at the machine, selecting tooling, and performing first-off inspections to meet tight tolerances within a technically challenging

Qualifications

• Previous experience as CNC Turner and/or Vertical Borer in precision engineering or manufacturing.
• Strong CNC programming, setting and operating experience.
• Experience using Fanuc CNC controls and writing/editing programs at the machine.
• Ability to read, interpret engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances.

Responsabilités

• Program, set and operate CNC turning and vertical boring machines from drawings.
• Write, edit and optimise CNC programs at the machine using Fanuc controls.
• Interpret drawings to determine suitable machining methods, tooling and sequences.
• Set up machines with tooling, workholding, offsets and tool offsets.
• Select tools and establish speeds/feeds to achieve required finish and accuracy.
• Carry out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
