Job summary

Workforce Recruitment and Training in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled CNC Turner Programmer to join a team that manufactures precision components for sectors including oil & gas, subsea, nuclear, aerospace, defence and rail. You will program, set and operate Fanuc CNC lathes on large parts, ensuring tight tolerances and high-quality outcomes.

You will read engineering drawings, use CAD/CAM systems where available, and contribute to a safe, clean workplace while meeting production

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC turning.
• Experience machining large, heavy components.
• Fully competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Able to work to tight tolerances.
• Strong quality focus and attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working hours (overtime may be required).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Job Type: Permanent

Overtime: Overtime at x1.5, x2 on Sundays

Salary: From £17.16ph + 35% Shift Allowance

Bonus: An extra £1.50ph for running two machines

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled CNC Turner Programmer with extensive experience working on large components using Fanuc controls.

You will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC turning machines, producing precision parts to tight tolerances.

Duties include:

• Working on large components using horizontal and vertical turning centres.
• Carrying out dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measuring equipment.
