Job summary

Next Generation is seeking a CNC Programmer Setter - Turning to join a leading global manufacturer supplying machined components to Aerospace customers. You will program, set, and operate Fanuc controlled lathes, manage offsets and tool changes, and fine‑tune speeds, feeds, and cycle times to ensure efficient production.

The role requires 3–5 years' experience with lathes and Fanuc/Heidenhain controls, with strong attention to quality and the ability to monitor multiple machines concurrently.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience setting & operating lathes (essential).
• 3–5 years' experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (essential).
• Checking for defects and quality issues (essential).

Job Title: CNC Programmer Setter - Turning

Contract: Permanent

Hourly rate: £18.50 - £20.00 per hour

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (Days)

Due to expansion, Next Generation are currently recruiting for an CNC Programmer - Turner to work with a leading global manufacturer who produce machined components supplying predominantly into the Aerospace 3industry. As the CNC Programmer - Turner you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating Fanuc controlled Lathes.

Duties of the CNC Programmer - Turner:

• Setting & Operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls
• Carrying out offsets & tool changes
• Altering speeds and feeds
• Running multiple lathes at any one time
• Monitoring cycle times
• Basic machine maintenance

The successful candidate for the CNC Programmer - Turners position will have the following experience:

• 3 - 5 years' experience Setting & Operating Lathes (Essential)
• 3 - 5 years' experience within Fanuc or Heidenhain controls (Essential)
• Checking for defects & quality issues (Essential)
