Job summary

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting a CNC Programmer to join a precision engineering company located in Leicester working on a permanent basis. The role is day shift, permanent and based in Leicester.

Setting, operating and programming 2-axis CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls, you will work to tight tolerances and develop components for the Aerospace sector, reading and interpreting imperial drawings. DBS checks may be required and visa sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of CNC turning experience in precision engineering.
• Proven ability to program using Fanuc controls.
• Experience with exotic materials is a plus.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings in Imperial.

EMBS Engineering is currently recruiting for a CNC Programmer to join a precision engineering company located in Leicester working on a permanent basis.

Due to the nature of the markets our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks will be required. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:

• Setting, operating and programming 2-axis CNC Turning machines using Fanuc controls


• Working to tight tolerances and maintaining high-quality standards


• Machining/Developing new products for the Aerospace sector


• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings in Imperial

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• At least 5 years of experience or an apprentice trained in CNC Turning within precision engineering environments such as Nuclear, Oil & Gas, Defence and Aerospace


• Proven ability to program using Fanuc controls is essential for this role


• Working with exotic materials such as Inconel, Hastelloy, Duplex, Super Duplex


• Confident in working with smaller batches for developing components for the Aerospace sector


• Able to self-inspect own work using manual measuring equipment
