Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer / Setter / Operator for a permanent position in Ely. You will program, set and run CNC turning machines, producing high-precision components for aerospace/defence sectors with strict tolerances.

Strong drawing interpretation and in-process inspection are required. The role offers a stable career in a growing engineering business, with modern facilities and opportunities to work on high-spec projects.

Formación

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
• Ability to independently programme, set and operate CNC lathes.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings and precision machining techniques.
• Experience producing complex components to tight tolerances.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Manufacturing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carrying out in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
• Making tooling and offset adjustments as required.
• Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping.
• Working closely with the production team to meet production targets and customer deadlines.
