Job summary

The Workshop in New Milton is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join its engineering team on a permanent basis. You will set, operate and program CNC lathes (3- and 4-axis) to produce precision components, reading drawings and using precision measurement equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Turner setting, operating and programming.
• Proficient with precision measurement equipment and tooling.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes and 3- and 4-axis machinery.
• Turn, bore, thread, form and face metal and plastic materials.
• Use CNC tooling and precision measurement equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Handle and protect manufactured components, fabricated parts and assemblies.
• Identify and resolve machining and production issues.
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail.
• Support continual improvement and changing production requirements.

Are you a CNC Turner with experience setting, operating and programming CNC machinery? A growing specialist engineering and sub-contract manufacturing business is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join its team on a permanent basis. You'll work with a range of components and assemblies, using CNC turning machinery to produce high-quality, precision parts. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner looking for a long-term role with opportunities for development and overtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC lathes and 3- and 4-axis machinery
• Turn, bore, thread, form and face metal and plastic materials
• Use CNC tooling and precision measurement equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Handle and protect manufactured components, fabricated parts and assemblies
• Identify and resolve machining and production issues
• Maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail
• Support continual improvement and changing production requirements

Skills & Knowledge Required

• Previous experience working as a CNC Turner
• Strong CNC machinery and tooling skills
• Experience using precision measurement equipment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a drive for results and improvement
• Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements
