Job summary

Metalis Recruitment Group is seeking a CNC Turner for night shifts in Leicester. You will set and operate Mazak lathes, read engineering drawings and maintain tight tolerances while using measuring equipment. The role requires precision and adherence to process standards in a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate will have Apprentice Trained or NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC qualifications and Mazak experience, with availability for Monday to Thursday, 6pm–6am. 22.20 per hour incl. shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained or NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC in engineering.
• Experience on CNC lathes; Mazak preferred.
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings.

Metalis are working with an aerospace company in Leicester, who are looking for a CNC Turner to join their team.

Job Duties:

• Set and operate CNC lathes (Mazak)
• Read and work from engineering drawings
• Work to tight tolerances
• Ensure machinery and tooling are being maintained
• Work with measuring equipment
• Understand CNC codes and programs

Job Requirements:

• Apprentice Trained or relevant Engineering Qualifications (NVQ/HNC/HND/ONC)
• Experience working CNC lathes (Mazak is desired)
• Able to read and work from engineering drawings

Salary, Shift & Benefits:

• 22.20 per hour (including shift allowance)
