Job summary

JK Engineering Hertfordshire Ltd, based in Kings Langley, seeks a CNC Turner to maintain high-precision turning processes on a busy shop floor. You will define datums, prove out new jobs and edit offsets to ensure components meet tight tolerances across multiple materials including Inconel, titanium and stainless steels.

The role requires reading drawings, collaborating with inspectors, and planning with Team Leaders to optimise efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience within a CNC precision engineering environment covering programming, setting and operating.
• Experience using Celos controls, DMG Machines and HyperMill.
• Experience Turning Inconel, Titanium and Stainless to tight tolerances.
• Team player with good work ethic and 'can do' attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Define machine datums.
• Prove out new jobs.
• Edit machine offsets.
• Carry out first off inspection checks.
• Maintain machining tolerances.
• Interpret engineering drawings.
• Collaborate with inspectors to ensure drawing tolerances are met.
• Material control and identification.
• Plan with Team Leaders to work efficiently.
