Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a precision engineering team. You will programme, set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture components from engineering drawings and customer specifications.

This hands-on role focuses on quality, productivity and on-time delivery, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in the machine shop.

Qualifications

• Essential: Previous CNC Turning experience.
• Essential: Ability to programme CNC turning machines.
• Essential: Ability to set and operate CNC lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience working to tight tolerances.
• Strong understanding of quality procedures and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
• Manufacture precision components from engineering drawings and specifications.
• Carry out machine set-ups and prove out new jobs.
• Ensure work is completed to the required quality standards.
• Perform in-process inspection using measuring equipment.

• Salary: Up to £20 an hour
• Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
• Rota: Mon-Fri - DAYS ONLY

The Role - CNC Turner

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join a well-established precision engineering business supplying a range of highly regulated and technically demanding industries.

This is a hands‑on role requiring an individual who can independently programme, set and operate CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components to engineering drawings and customer specifications.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring quality, productivity and on‑time delivery whilst contributing towards continuous improvement initiatives within the machine shop. A strong background in CNC turning is essential, along with proven CNC programming experience.
