Job summary

Proactive Global in Milton Keynes is seeking a skilled CNC lathe operator to set up and run machines, interpret engineering drawings, and maintain high quality components. You will monitor processes, adjust settings, and support a safety-conscious, well-organised workshop.

Experience with Doosan multi-axis lathes and Fanuc controls is advantageous. The role offers a hands-on position within a manufacturing team, with a clear progression path and a focus on precision and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in operating CNC lathe machines.
• Ability to read CAD drawings to determine machining requirements.
• Experience using hand tools.
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with materials handling and tooling.
• Experience with Doosan 220LSY or similar multi-axis machines is advantageous.

Requirements

• Proficiency in operating CNC lathe machines
• Knowledge of CAD software for reading engineering drawings
• Ability to use hand tools effectively
• Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machine issues
• Experience with materials handling and toolingExperience in programming Doosan 220LSY, 220, 2100L with bar feeders or other similar multi axes machines advantageous.

Skills

• Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets
• Ability to assemble and handle materials effectively
• Proficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculations
• Familiarity with CAD software for reading technical drawings
• Knowledge of Fanuc software

Working Hours

Mon-Thu 08:00-17:00 - Fri 08:00-13:00
39 Hours per week.
