Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a CNC Turner for a permanent role in Huddersfield within a fast-growing engineering organisation. You will operate and set up CNC turning machines, ensuring quality in a high-precision environment and interpreting engineering drawings.

The position is 37.5 hours per week, rotating AM/PM shifts, with a benefits package including pension contributions up to 14%, 35 days holiday and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience as CNC Turner or similar in a high-precision machining environment.
• Able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings or diagrams.
• Formal qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or Machining preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Edit and adjust CNC programs using Fanuc controls.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and diagrams to set up work.
• Operate CNC turning machines and set up processes for production.
• Contribute to high-precision machining outputs in a manufacturing environment.

Due to organic growth, this long-established employer is actively searching for a CNC Turner to join their team on a permanent basis.

This Huddersfield based employer is easily commutable from surrounding towns & cities including Bradford, Halifax, Wakefield, Leeds, Oldham, Castleford and Pontefract.

The CNC Turner will:

• Ideally hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering or Machining (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC, HND or similar) - NOT ESSENTIAL
• Have experience working as a CNC Turner, Machinist, Programmer, Setter/Operator within a high precision machining environment
• Be capable of editing & adjusting CNC programs using Fanuc controls
• Be able to read, interpret and work directly from engineering drawings & diagrams

Working Hours of the CNC Turner:

37.5 Hours per week rotating over AM & PM shifts:

• AM Shift - Monday to Thursday 6AM to 2PM / Friday 6AM to 11:30AM
• PM Shift - Monday to Thursday 2PM to 10PM / Friday 11:30AM to 5PM

In return, the CNC Turner will receive:

• Renumeration: Up to £41,441.40 per annum depending on ability (inclusive of shift allowance)
