Job summary

Aspion is seeking an experienced CNC Turner/CNC Machinist for their operation in Irlam, Greater Manchester. You will program, set and operate CNC Turner machines, reading drawings and ensuring tolerances are met.

Role requires a minimum of 3 years in CNC turning, ISO programme editing, and strong setup skills. Live tooling or sub-spindle experience is a plus; CMM/PTFE machining knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' CNC turning/machining experience or time-served apprenticeship.
• Ability to read, understand and edit ISO turning programmes.
• Strong CNC programming and setting knowledge.

CNC Turner / CNC Machinist

Location: Irlam, Greater Manchester

Position: Permanent

Salary: £21-£24 Per Hour

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30AM-5PM Friday 8:30AM-3:30PM

The Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner / CNC Machinist to join a well-established engineering business in Irlam.

You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC Turner, producing components accurately from engineering drawings and working to required tolerances.

Key Responsibilities

• Program, set and operate CNC Turner
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Set tooling, offsets, chucks and machine parameters
• Carry out first-off and dimensional checks
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs
• Maintain quality and safety standards

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' CNC turning/machining experience or time-served apprenticeship
• Able to read, understand and edit ISO turning programs
• Strong CNC programming and setting knowledge
• Live tooling and sub-spindle experience advantageous
• Good understanding of tooling and insert selection
• CMM and PTFE machining experience advantageous
• Proven experience within Fanuc and Doosan controls
