Job summary

Kinetic plc in the East Manchester / Tameside area is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to join their precision machining team. The role covers programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines to tight tolerances with attention to quality and efficiency.

You will work on days with a minimum £20/hr PAYE plus overtime at time-and-a-half. Apprenticeship or HND qualification is expected, with experience on FANUC controls preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to tolerances and finish.
• Experience with multi-axis or twin turret sliding head machines is advantageous.

Job description

Our client, a precision engineering company based in the East Manchester/Tameside area, are looking for a CNC Turner on permanent basis.

All hours on DAYS and paying minimum £20/hr PAYE + OT at T1/2.

We have dealt with this client for over 15 years as they continue to grow and enter new markets. They are expanding again and now looking to expand their machining division.

DUTIES:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards.
• Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and quality.
• Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced CNC programmer (Ideally FANUC), setter and operator.
• Experience of operating twin turret multi-axis or sliding head machines will be an advantage.
• Qualified through apprenticeship or HND.
• Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
