Job summary

Job description

Our client, a precision engineering company based in the East Manchester/Tameside area, are looking for a CNC Turner on permanent basis. All hours on DAYS and paying minimum £20/hr PAYE + OT at T1/2. We have dealt with this client for over 15 years as they continue to grow and enter new markets. They are expanding again and now looking to expand their machining division.

DUTIES:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines.
• Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards.
• Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and quality.
• Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experienced CNC programmer (Ideally FANUC), setter and operator.
• Experience of operating twin turret multi-axis or sliding head machines will be an advantage.
• Qualified through apprenticeship or HND.
• Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
