Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Turner to join our clients growing team, producing high-quality transmission components for a respected engineering company based in Harlow, Essex.

This hands-on role involves setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathes, with a focus on short-to-medium batch work. You'll need to be confident working independently and flexible enough to support other machining operations when needed.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday, with start times of either 6:00 AM (finish at 4:00 PM) or 7:00 AM (finish at 5:00 PM) offering a great work-life balance with long weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently set and operate 2-axis CNC lathes with minimal supervision

• Manufacture components to precise specifications for transmission systems

• Adapt to different machinery as required to support production demand or cover staff absences

• Produce high-quality parts in short and medium batch quantities

• Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards

• Work collaboratively with the wider team to meet daily targets

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience operating and setting 2-axis CNC lathes

• Ability to work independently and manage your own machine setup

• Flexibility to assist on other machines where necessary

• A proactive and reliable team player with a strong work ethic

• Willingness to work overtime when required

• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems is desirable, though not essential
