A 12:18-month Contract opportunity for a CNC Setter Operator from an industrial product background, to join a world-class innovative production, manufacturing, and engineering company. We are seeking candidates with turning backgrounds, with CNC milling, setting, and operating experience (preferable). LOCATION: Milton Keynes

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Bletchley, Wolverton, Newport Pagnell, Towcester, Deanshanger

JOB DESCRIPTION: CNC Setter, Operator, Turner: Machine Tooling, CNC Machining, Manufacturing

WORKING HOURS: 40 Hour Working Week (Rotating Double Day Shift)

• Week 1, 3, and 5: Monday to Thursday 6:00 - 14:30 and Friday 6:00 - 12:00
• Week 2, 4, and 6: Monday to Thursday 13:00 - 23:00

This is a hands-on role, involving setting up machines, reading drawings, and adjusting equipment while checking. You will be working in a medium to high volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating CNC Lathes.
• Maintaining product quality through first-off and sample preparation.
• Operating CNC and manual metrology equipment.
• Maintaining on-time adherence to work schedule.
• Routine machine checks and cleaning routines to maintain machinery condition.
• Ensuring personal and operational safety.
• Engaging in continuous improvement for safety, quality, and efficiency.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Experience in CNC Turning, Setting, and Operating Machine Tooling.
• GCSE or equivalent in Maths, English, Engineering, or relevant Craft qualification.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality.
• Keen to take responsibility and initiative.
