Next Generation are currently recruiting for a CNC Setter Operator to work with a well-established engineering company near Halesowen. Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, the CNC Setter Operator will be responsible for ensuring the quality of components using relevant procedures and methods.

Shift Pattern for the CNC Setter Operator

• Rotating double days (week one 6am-2pm)
• Week two 2pm-10pm

Duties of the CNC Setter Operator

• Machining quality components according to technical drawings and specifications
• Operating Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
• Setting one-off components using clamps, angle plates, etc.
• Deburring components and ensuring they are fit for transportation
• Carrying out daily bookings against route card jobs and timings
• Inspecting all components throughout the process
• Maintaining a safe working environment and complying with H&S policies

Candidate Requirements

• 3-5 years experience as a CNC Turner (Essential)
• Ability to use Fanuc & Heidenhain controls (Essential)
• Ability to program offline (Desirable)
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings (Essential)
