Overview

Actio Engineering Recruitment are assisting one of our Precision Engineering clients based in Tewkesbury with their search for experienced CNC Turners (Setter Operators) for several shifts.

Our client are a highly established sub contract engineering business who specialise in producing high precision components and complex projects for a number of industries working with a wide range of materials. They invest heavily in market leading machinery and provide exceptional training opportunities.

Role

The CNC Setter-Operator will be responsible for setting, operating, and running multi-axis CNC machines equipped with Mazatrol (Smooth) and Fanuc controls. They will ensure accurate tool setup and the production of high-precision components in accordance with provided drawings, working to tight tolerances and stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate multi-axis machining centres to manufacture components per supplied drawings.
• Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, standards, geometric tolerances, and surface finishes.
• Independently prove out and inspect first-off components.
• Work to specified tolerances and dimensions as outlined in engineering drawings.
• Perform quality inspections on completed work.

Skills and Experience Required

We are recruiting setter operator Turners who have either worked with Mazatrol controls or Fanuc controlled sliding head lathes. We have opportunities on day shift and also on twilight shift available.

• Proficiency with Mazatrol controls and/or Fanuc systems.
• Experience with multi-spindle or sliding head machine tools an advantage
• Background in precision manufacturing environments.
• Skilled in using precision measuring equipment.

Salary and Benefits

Salaries are dependent on experience and shift in the region of 14-17 p/h plus shift allowance and overtime.
