Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a CNC Turner, located in Gloucester. The CNC Turner will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Daily tasks include programming, setting up tooling, performing routine maintenance, and inspecting finished products for quality. The role also involves troubleshooting issues and ensuring efficient machine operation to meet production deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in CNC turning, machine setup, and operation
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Skills in programming CNC machines
• Experience in inspecting finished products for quality and making necessary adjustments
• Understanding routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machinery
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and follow production schedules
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
• Previous experience in the engineering plastics industry is a plus
• Relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship in CNC machining or related field
