Job summary

ABS Talent in Hyde, Cheshire, seeks a time-served CNC Turner Setter/Operator to join its precision engineering team. You will set, program and run turning centres on Fanuc controls, working from drawings to produce high-value, small-batch components.

The role demands a hands-on background with a track record in complex work rather than mass production. Vertical boring experience is an advantage; you will maintain tooling offsets and quality across runs. Commutable from nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Setting, operating and programming CNC turning centres on Fanuc controls.
• Machining complex, high-value components in small batches to tight tolerances.
• Working from engineering drawings, first-off and in-process inspection.
• Vertical boring experience (Toshiba or similar) an advantage.
• Tooling, offsets and maintaining quality throughout the run.
• Fully time-served CNC turning experience with hands-on background.
• Confidence programming, setting and operating on Fanuc.
• Track record on complex, small-batch, high-value work rather than high-volume production.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and hold tight tolerances.
• Bearing, borer or similar precision component experience welcomed.

An established precision engineering business in Hyde, Cheshire is looking for a skilled, time-served CNC Turner to join its machining team. The company specialises in complex, high-value, small-batch precision components this is genuine skilled turning, not mass production.

The role:

• Setting, operating and programming CNC turning centres on Fanuc controls
• Machining complex, high-value components in small batches to tight tolerances
• Working from engineering drawings, first-off and in-process inspection
• Vertical boring experience (Toshiba or similar) an advantage
• Tooling, offsets and maintaining quality throughout the run

We're looking for someone with:

• Fully time-served CNC turning experience genuine hands-on background
• Confidence programming, setting and operating on Fanuc
