Job summary

Proactive Personnel Ltd is seeking a skilled CNC Turner for a permanent role based in Chorley, Lancashire. You will program, set and operate CNC lathes with Fanuc controls, and work on large components using horizontal and vertical turning centres.

You will read engineering drawings, carry out dimensional checks, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years' CNC turning experience, strong Fanuc programming skills, and a flexible approach to overtime. Salary is £17.04 per hour.

Proactive Personnel are looking for a skilled CNC Turner to start work for our client on a permanent basis based in Chorley, Lancashire.

Duties include:

• Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes with Fanuc controls.
• Working on large components using horizontal and vertical turning centres.
• Carrying out dimensional and visual checks using appropriate measuring equipment.
• Using CAD/CAM systems (available for the right candidate).
• Maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
• Meeting production deadlines while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in CNC turning.
• Strong programming skills using Fanuc controls.
• Experience machining large, heavy components.
• Fully competent in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Able to work to tight tolerances.
• Strong quality focus and attention to detail.
• Flexible approach to working hours (overtime may be required).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

The hours of work are Monday - Thursday 07:15am - 17:15pm.

Pay is £17.04p/h.
